Things to Consider when Starting your Home Based Business
Working from home relies greatly on having self discipline and being able to manage oneself. It's truly not for everyone, and believe it or not they'll come many times when you'll want to quit your work from home opportunity and just get back to working a 9-5 Job. Unlike a JOB, your home based business offers ZERO health benefits, and ZERO Vacation Pay, which often are the 2 Buzz Kills for wannabe Entrepreneurs.
First I'd suggest having enough money saved to cover your expenses for at least 90 days if you don't have a working spouse who's bringing in some income. You will want to use those 90 days to take your original seed money to start your MLM or Home based business and multiply it. If you're able to do this within 90 days then you'll be off to a GREAT start in your work from home journey. Often those who are most dear to us will be the ones offering refuge from working for ourselves. This is why it's crucial to include all family members in the home in your plan. Set some Family goals and dreams up together so they can cheer you on and not nag you to death.
Just as you'd want to set up your Why with your family, you want to set up an advertising budget, or time frame that you plan on working your new home based business either online or offline. This will avoid many arguments with significant others and family members in the household. Setting up those boundaries will be necessary. In addition, you'll want to have 3 people in your life, a Mentor, a Battle buddy, and an intern.
A Mentor will be someone you look up to whom you can turn to for professional and sometimes even personal advice having to do with being successful in your new work from home opportunity. This person can be your upline or someone within your industry whom you consider begin on an entirely different level than yourself.
A Battle Buddy, will be another person who's at the same level of expertise as you, someone you can relate to, and lean on for support, and most importantly hold each other accountable for reaching specific milestones within each other's businesses. This person can be a cross line member within your work from home opportunity, or someone in a different opportunity all together.
An intern will be someone you can mentor, and coach as you reinforce everything you learn with them. By teaching them, you will empower your own knowledge. These can often be your downline members within your own work from home business.
Laying down the right foundation is pivotal to your early success when considering to work from home. You must be realistic with your expectations, and consistent with your daily actions and always set a goal for yourself that you openly share with others as to hold yourself accountable. These short steps can be the difference between making money or trying to make money.
Choosing the right work from home business should be fun, you should represent a company that will meet your vision, match your passion, be within your time frame, and meet your financial requirements. Review the company, question your sponsor, understand the compensation plan, and learn all you can about your product and / or service that you will be selling. Make NO MISTAKE, if you don't like sales, then working from home may be challenge. Don't be lured in by EASY money, and No Sponsoring claims. Review each business opportunity, and choose wisely, and once you make your choice, begin to brand yourself so people are JOINING YOU, and not just the company.
These tips may seem a bit much, but as you venture into your work from home based business, each will play it's role accordingly. There's nothing more rewarding than working for yourself, so enjoy the entire journey, even the obstacles and learning moments.
